Plus I might take the time to explain the absence of blogging lately at some point in the near future. I should get back to writing, as I haven't done much of it since the end of last year. It's been nice to have a break in some ways, but I need to keep up with some sort of practice.
Anyway. The weather today was gorgeous and the lighting in the late afternoon at the beach was lovely. I just need to hurry up and work out how to make my new camera all better so I can get back to using that as well as the point-and-shoot that's seriously on its way out.

I can empathise with the camera troubles, mine died a couple of weeks back, and I'm having to get very creative about how to keep the visual imagery on the blog :)
luckily your new one should still be under warranty
but in the meantime, enjoy those beach walks, and the freedom from deadlines
It's really hard not having a camera when you're used to just grabbing it out of the bag and snapping away with it! I hope you can get a new camera soon - always love your photos :)
The new one's problem is just some spots on the sensor, so I might see if I can fix that myself rather than packaging it all up to send to Canon. And hopefully not break it!
I'll still probably get a replacement point-and-shoot, though, seeing as that camera's about five years old. It's done a good job, though.
Definitely enjoying having some time off. I know I should hurry up and work out what I'll do with life, but at the moment there's a surprising amount of stuff to do - the joys of having moved!
I'm glad you are blogging again - things are looking up.
