Spork!

It's only a black, plastic spork. But it is indeed a spork.
Happy days.
And now, I return to packing. What does one take to Germany and England for Summer months? Apparently the relatives are saying it's been 12 degrees where they are in the UK and I'm like, "What?! It's nearly Winter here and 20 degrees!"
At least the camera case is packed.

Thank you for providing a spork photo.

If you're coming to England, you will need an umbrella, a slight sense of pessimism, and a stiff upper lip and of course impeccable manners! If somebody asks you how you are: you say, "Not too bad" - any better than that and you risk being given medication or people will think you are already on drugs!

Can't really talk about Germany except to say that everything is so tidy!

Clare - it's definitely cute.

Matthew - thanks for the holiday tips for England! *lol* Ever thought of writing for Lonely Planet guides? :)

I have to say, one of the first things I put in was an umbrella. I'm sure I'll find room for the stiff upper lip and slight sense of pessimism in the suitcase if I sit on the lid and zip it up quickly ;)

how long is your holiday? sounds quite exciting...in a stiff upper lip, pessimistic sort of a way.

Where in England are you going?

If you are ending up in Lancaster, let me know and I will buy you a coffee (although a cup of tea would be more stereotypical). And if I ask you how you are, I will allow you to say, "Bonza mate!" Sorry for the stereotype, but I did kind of stereotype my own nation! Please forgive me!

Becky - three weeks :) It'll be interesting at least!

Matthew - I'm going to be in London for a couple days and then heading out to Hampshire (I think?) to see some relatives. A cup of tea does sound rather British (accompanied by cucumber sandwiches...). Hmm *lol*
