More wrongful detention of Australian citizens, with the ombudsman investigating "about 200" cases of wrongful detention.

*imagined inner thoughts of Amanda Vanstone*

Ohhh, just about 200... aren't you glad we don't just execute them on sight... Yeah, only 200 or so, no biggie, you'd think the people would be GLAD to be locked up... A genuine Australian experience - you can't say you're an Aussie until you've been locked in a detention centre for years on end, really... They should be thanking us!

Why, I was locked up for seven years in my formative years. They called it "boarding school" then, but we all knew what it was! Did me no harm at all, though!

Don't see what all the fuss is about anyways. Well, apart from having that new Missing Persons show snooping around Detention Centres now, with all of those people convinced that their husbands or wives have been locked up in there rather than them really having nicked off with the lady from down the street.

No, this is a positive move for Australia. Give 'em something to tell their grandkids, I reckon. Maybe we should think about giving them a medallion or something. Hmm...

Please note: not actual thoughts of Senator Vanstone. We are not psychic here at Random Black Heart Glitter Moments.

Hmm, nothing really seems to be being said about it... probably too much happening with the AWB at the moment.

It's scandalous, though.
