I know what you mean about sputtering with laughter upon seeing the cartoon - I'm just glad I wasn't drinking Milo or anything like that when I first saw it or the computer might have been baptised ;) *lol*
when I was in Grade 2 at a primary school that used to be on the same campus as where you did your degree I used to present puppet shows to my schoolmates. I got in trouble cos I charged them 2c (or some such ridiculous amount back in the dark ages) to watch the show. I was told it was wrong to profit from my creativity!?!
That's really crazy to get in trouble for being creative (both puppetry and charging for it - brilliant!). It's a shame that kids aren't encouraged more to be creative. Imagination is something that we're losing a lot of, I think. Kids aren't encouraged as much as they used to be to get out there and create their own worlds, playthings and stories. Now it's just put them in front of the XBox and feed them artificial colours, flavourings and preservatives... *sigh*
But anyways! Just think - now days you could charge people to see the puppetry and not get in trouble at all (apart from perhaps with the council if you were busking without a permit to do it, from OH&S if there aren't OH&S things observed, etc, etc... yikes *lol*)

That is hilarious.
