English Summer Rain

Sitting at my desk, eating strawberries and suddenly the taste of them reminds me of the way the strawberries my pappa used to grow in the veggie garden tasted.

*sigh*

So nice and summery, even though it's the middle of Winter. They're still kind of sharp to taste, but somwhat mellow, too. Very nice indeed :)

I still want to try wild strawberries, though—Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree books still inspire me too much *lol*

STRAWWWWRrrrBERRIES! I'm kinda surprised you can get them in winter but I guess that's one of the advantages of international trade????

Actually, they're from Queensland :) Although I'm blaming genetic engineering *lol*
